Incari Studio 2024.1 is here!

With the latest release of Incari Studio, we’ve further enhanced our HMI development platform. A range of new features, expanded capabilities, and improvements make creating multifunctional HMIs for any device easier and more efficient than ever.

Most exciting new feature:
Multilingual Interfaces Made Easy

One of the standout features of this version is the new localization capability. This functionality simplifies working with multiple languages and enhances the accuracy and efficiency of your translation processes. The result? Reduced development time and fewer localization errors.

Control on a New Level:
Visual Logic Debugging

Another highlight of this version is the Visual Logic Debugging feature. This functionality allows developers to visualize and control the logic flow in real-time. By setting breakpoints and inspecting input and output values in detail, errors can be detected and resolved early on.

A Fresh, User-Friendly Design:
Redesigned Interface

The interface of Incari Studio has also received an update. With a new look and improved node design performance in the logic editor, a smooth workflow is guaranteed. The redesigned interface ensures an even more pleasant and efficient working experience.

Completely Revamped:
Environment Light Feature

The Environment Light feature has been completely revamped and is now integrated as part of the scene. All objects within a scene are lid with the same Environment Light, while still retaining the flexibility to be lid individually.

Automated Application Testing and Quality Assurance:
The new Python API

Incari Studio now provides developers with another powerful tool to manage the entire HMI development process, from prototyping to mass production. With the new Python API in Incari Studio, you can perform automated application testing and quality assurance using Python. Python is one of the most widely used programming languages for test automation and quality assurance, which is why we’ve created an interface for seamless integration between Incari and Python.

Incari Python API offers many advantages for testing:

• Simple syntax that is easy to read and maintain
• Extensive libraries and frameworks for test automation
• Flexibility in creating test scripts
• Good integration with CI/CD systems

Additional Improvements:
Variable Fonts, Figma Importer, 2D Workflow, CANopen

Incari Studio 2024.1 brings even more improvements. The Figma Importer now supports variable fonts and rule-based positioning. The 2D workflow gains advanced layout and constraint options and integrated audio and video capabilities. Additionally, Incari Studio now supports the CANopen protocol.

R5 Retrofit Project – Watch us on “Vintage Mecanic” on December 10th!

Together with Factory Unit, 2cv Mehari Club Cassis and R-FIT, we have breathed new electric life into a Classic Renault R5. Stay tuned to discover how Incari worked on the interior!

The overall restomod design was proposed by Alan Derosier, a renowned French automotive designer known for his innovative and creative approach to car design, including the iconic Legende Automobiles Turbo 3.

The car is officially presented at the current Mondial de l’Auto – Paris, where our colleague Celso Albuquerque from Incari Labs is also participating.

In the upcoming season of the well-known French automotive show VintageMecanic on RMC Découverte, you will have the opportunity to dive into this exciting project and see how we, together with our amazing partners, have taken retrofit to a new level.

The episode will air on Tuesday, December 10th.

We are very excited about the broadcast and thank everyone who contributed to this fantastic project!

Showcase: 3D Application for Digital Dental Impressions

In collaboration with our partner CONZE Informatik GmbH, we implemented an HMI for a 3D application for digital dental impressions in just two days, with Conze leading the design. This project has demonstrated how quickly and cost-effectively HMIs for medical technology can be developed using Incari Studio.

CONZE showcased our demo in November 2024 at the MEDICA Trade Fair. The demo ran on an Apalis iMX8QM provided by Toradex. Thanks to the Low-Code approach and powerful 3D capabilities of Incari Studio, the precise and efficient visualization of intricate dental structures was made possible.

Efficient Digitalization of Dental Impressions

The process of capturing a human jaw for dental purposes and transferring individual teeth for further processing in a CAD system involves several technical steps, with the HMI playing a central role. In our joint demo project with CONZE, we implemented this process in just two days.

The process begins with a 3D scan of the patient’s lower or upper jaw. The scan is transferred as a digital 3D asset into the HMI system, made possible by the powerful 3D engine of Incari Studio. The 3D scan is then displayed on the device monitor, with hardware support provided by Toradex.

Thanks to Incari’s 3D-first approach, the scan can be viewed and examined from different perspectives. Individual teeth can be selected and isolated with a mouse click. A commenting feature allows insights gained during the examination to be saved. The selected tooth can then be transferred to the CAD system for further processing.

The HMI plays a critical role in this process:

  • It serves as the interface between the dental technician and complex technical systems.
  • It visualizes the 3D data in an intuitive and understandable form.
  • It provides tools for segmenting the 3D data.
  • It coordinates data exchange between systems such as the 3D scanner, HMI software, and CAD system.
  • It offers a user-friendly interface that enables dental technicians to perform complex technical tasks without extensive IT knowledge.

By using Incari Studio as the HMI development platform, this process can be optimized and accelerated, resulting in a more efficient workflow in digital dentistry. Incari Studio is the ideal tool for complex applications where precision and reliability are paramount. With Conze’s intuitive design, the application is user-friendly for dental technicians, allowing immediate implementation into daily workflows with minimal training.

Thank you to our partner Conze for the excellent collaboration.

We look forward to more exciting projects in the future.
